Templeogue Dublin 6

This project is set in an attractive 1930s house in Templeogue.

The project involved general alteration to the existing house including energy and insulation upgrades. The project also included a two storey extension to the side of the existing house and a single storey rear extension.

An existing garage was demolished ant the 2 storey extension was constructed in its place. The elevations the extension were detailed to closely match the existing house fabric, in detail and in the selection of materials.

The windows were replaced and these were carefully designed to make reference to the steel type windows that would have been originally installed in this house. Curved glass was also used on the existing curved bay window to the front elevation.

A copper roofed single storey rear extension was also added. This was designed to provide spacious living spaces to the rear of the house which connect fully to the rear garden space.

Energy upgrade included the installation of high levels of insulation and new windows throughout, the replacement of the heating system, which shall dramatically reduce heat loss and improve energy efficiency.
