Suite 401 The Capel Building

This highly specific 525 sq meter office fit-out required significant research to satisfy storage and privacy needs for a busy Solicitor’s firm in the heart of Dublin’s city centre.

Accommodation requirements included an open plan office space to accommodate 40 staff, with 2 meeting rooms, 1 boardroom, 2 quiet rooms, 2 paper storage rooms, 1 staff canteen, 1 fire rated Deeds/Wills storage room and a reception to seat 9.

BOA enlisted the expertise of a Lighting designer and Acoustic engineer to ensure the highest specification of products and technique. State of art storage systems and building materials helped create a contemporary, conscientious and spacious office environment.

Located on the 4th floor of the Capel building, Suite 401 is surrounded primarily by windows. Meeting rooms and storage spaces were positioned such that natural light to the open plan areas was not compromised.

Frameless glazed partitions were used for meeting rooms. Ironstone coloured carpet and maple desktops were selected to add warmth to the pure white walls, and aluminum details throughout. High quality fabric was used to upholster screens and ergonomic task chairs, while soft leather was used to cover the Scandinavian-designed meeting room chairs.

Dimmable suspended lights and table lamps gave duality and sophistication to the boardroom, meeting rooms and reception. A fully integrated kitchen combined natural stone countertop with modern minimalist cabinets.

Electrically operated pure white helioscreen fabric blinds were installed to each window, and were designed to operate uniformly.

A compactable storage system multiplied the firm’s storage capacity, and a 4-hour fire wall technology provided the firm with competitive file storage security for their clients.

BPA also assisted McDowell Purcell Solicitors in the redesign of company logo and colours.
